Richie from his humble beginnings in Birmingham has been playing the Saxophone since the age of 14. Richie (now living in London) and can now be heard all over the UK as well as Europe and the rest of the world. 
Although his first love is Jazz, his equal aptitude for other genres such as  RnB, Funk, Gospel, Hip Hop, Reggae, Urban ect coupled with the additional ability of understanding and respecting each genre of music presents him with a great versatility which has caused him to be in high demand. 

In 2002 Richie won a Grant from the Scarmans Trust which helped him realise his dream of putting on talent shows in the Midlands. During this time he was commended for his work with Teenagers and Performers from all walks of life with a dream of playing to larger audiences. The program entitled "Jazz Voices", became a widely received event. Richie helped many Singers and Musicians gain confidence to play in front of the large audiences he would attract every month. Since moving to London Richie hopes to continue much of this work and now has his own night at the Troy Bar with singer Holly Petrie entitled Interfusion which is now becoming very popular week by week.

He has  worked/played with such stars such Grammy Award Winners such as Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Macy Gray, also Incognito, Motown’s legendary Drifters. Imanni (Incognito, Real People) Kele Le Roc, Vula & Brendan Riley, (Basement Jaxx) Patrick Alan (ex Drifters, Michael Jackson) and more.

Wynton Marsalis (twice) Robert Glasper, Roy Hargrove, Dave Murray Big Band Joel Frahm and also Stella UK musicians such as Soweto Kinch, Femi Temowo (Amy Winehouse), Jean Toussaint, Tony Kofi, Troy Miller(Amy Winehouse, Roy Ayres)  - Gary Crosby, Alex Garnet, Brandon Allen,

In December of 2011 Richie was handpicked to play "Hero" to the songs writer and performer “Mariah Carey” who was in attendance at Actress Eva Langoria's (Desperate Housewives) charity ball in London. The star studied gala event also included Jermaine Jackson, Leona Lewis, Tamara Ecclestone plus many many more.

Richie of late has been fortunate enough to preform in front of an share the stage with non other than the great Legendary STEVIE WONDER at Ronnies Scotts.
Stevie passed by the club back in September 2012 and was impressed by his playing.
