Having recently graduated with a Master's degree in Music with performance as his main area, Stephen is a professional pianist with extensive experience playing repertoire which includes musical theatre, classical, operatic and pop music. He has accompanied a vast array of choirs and soloists and has played within ensembles specialising in a variety of genres.
When it comes to conducting and accompanying, Stephen frequently accompanies the Warrington Male Voice Choir (widely regarded as one of the finest Male Voice Choirs in the UK) and it's subsidiary ensemble 'Harmony in Blue' ( He is shortly due to play for the choir at a concert on the Isle of Man, where he will also be accompanying the internationally recognised Irish Classical Crossover Soprano, Margaret Keys.
Stephen is also the deputy MD of the large-scale choral project, the Wirral Community Choir (, a 120-strong SATB choir which performs across the region with an array of fine soloists. Stephen will accompany one these finest young soloists, RNCM baritone Daniel Shelvey, in a showcase at Liverpool's St. George's Hall in May 2011.
Stephen composed the music for and directed 'Spirits in the City' (2008, LSM Productions), a Liverpool-based musical adaptation of famous ghost stories from the city.
Stephen is the Director of the Youth Choir of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool (, a 70-strong children's choir which sings both sacred and secular contemporary music.
Before commencing his Masters degree, in 2008 Stephen underwent a six-month placement as apprentice Musical Director for the outdoor performing arts company, Hope Street Ltd (
