I'm a professional jazz and contemporary guitarist with almost 20 years experience of gigging, teaching, session work and touring. recent gigs have seen me tour Australia with USA Grammy nominated pianist Judy Carmichael, and back actors Michelle Dockery and Sheriden Smith in a Caberet at the cafe de Paris in London. I'm am MMus Jazz graduate of the Guildhall School of Music in London, and BA(Hons) Jazz from Leeds College of Music. Recent session credits include recording for contemporary dance musicians 'Rodina' for their upcoming album and with vocalist Laura Collins for her debut album 'Baltimore Oriole.'

I'm an excellent sight reader, and although primarily a jazz musician, am more than capable in most contemporary styles.

"Sam Dunn is a wonderful musician on all levels. He has a wide, interesting repertoire, beautiful sound, and is equally compelling with ballads and burners. And with his fast ears and quick wit, he's great fun on the bandstand” Judy Carmichael (Grammy Nominated USA Jazz Pianist)

"Keep playing those right chord changes, you sound great!” George Wein (Founder of the Newport Jazz Festival)

I've toured the UK and Europe with several shows, including 'The Rat Pack - Live from Las Vegas' and 'Caught' by Theatre Alibi. I've performed on BBC TV and Radio, and for several years taught guitar at Blackheath Conservatoire in London. I've studied guitar with Jez Franks, John Parricelli, Dave Cliff, Pete Sklaroff and Howard Alden.
