“Horne can play. Oh yes he can really play.”
Powerplay

“Brilliant guitarist, great songs and an inspiration to work with.”
Darrin Mooney – Drummer for Primal Scream and Gary Moore

“Riffs and solos pour from Lachlan’s fingers with an ease that should make the competition weep … a name to catch for true rockers everywhere.”
Musician

“Sensational guitarist that always delivers exactly what I’m looking for. But what makes him so valuable is that he is always able to pull something amazing out of the bag when I don’t know what I want.”
Paul Zimmer of Zimmer Audio Productions (ZAP)

Lachlan first picked up the guitar at the age of fourteen. Primarily self taught though he has studied under distinguished guitarists such as Alan Limbrick, John Etheridge and Shaun Baxter when he attended The Guitar Institute in London. After a few years of diligent music study and a lifestyle centred around intensive guitar practice he established himself as a professional musician and has since performed in numerous successful bands both in the UK and Australia. He has been fortunate to have worked with a variety of talented musicians, most notably drummer and long term friend Darrin Mooney of Primal Scream and Gary Moore fame. Darrin plays drums on Lachlan’s first two solo release albums (see below).

He has worked on numerous recording sessions and written music for a variety of music and media projects. His playing can be heard on various computer games, radio commercials, online slot machines and even as a theme on a roller coaster. He has performed in a huge variety of live performance situations and has a wealth of experience in playing for function, covers and tribute bands as well as performing solo when needed. He is adept at most styles of music most particularly, rock, blues, funk and pop.

Having spent most of his music career as a side man and session musician he stepped out of the shadows in 2004 by releasing his own instrumental rock album entitled The Time Has Come. This album, and his second release, The Horne Supremacy (2007/2009), which also highlighted his vocal talent, have both served to establish his hard earned reputation as a guitarist and musician of great talent. His most recent, and arguably his best, album is entitled and Rock n Roll Ltd (2014) and he is currently working on a fourth at the same time as taking on a blues based side project called Lachlan Horne and the Blues Rockits.

When not performing he also manages a hectic guitar tuition schedule with many students on his rosta and many more on his waiting list.
